Job search engine Simply Hired has integrated with Facebook to help job seekers discover new, more relevant positions via their social network.

Using this new capability, users who log in with Facebook are able to discover jobs based on their current or previous work titles, location, interests and their friends’ companies. From the search results page, job seekers will be able to browse friends’ companies and search for job openings. This changes job search from a passive to an active process by suggesting relevant jobs and helping users tap their friends to get an inside track on a job.



Currently, Job seekers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and India can now opt-in to this feature and search for jobs with the help of their Facebook friends.

The integration helps Simply Hired move a step closer to the services provided by LinkedIn, which helps users organize and leverage their professional networks to make connections and obtain referrals while job hunting, among other things.
