Internet Explorer is slow in opening tab? Why and how to fix it?

Internet Explorer sometimes takes long time to even load a new blank tab. Have you ever wondered why? The most probable reason would be that your add-ons are slowing it down to a crawl.

How to disable Internet Explorer's Add Ons to improve its load speed?

  1. Open Tools –> Manage Add-ons from the IE menu:

  2. Select the add-ons and see the last column named 'Load time'. if it is taking too much time to load and is of no use to you, click the Disable button to get rid of it.

Once you are through with disable some of the time consuming add ons, you can immediately see an improvement in IE's performance!
