I just realized the importance of windows icons when i have been given a laptop loaded with spanish windows. Until now, i used to think that Microsoft is just wasting valuable disk space to show the small icons against its menu items.


While creating a new folder, the folder icon came handy and i felt no need to even look at the text. It is in Spanish anyways!

But they have really helped me use the windows system as i could easily make the menu item's meaning just looking at the icon.

Initially when i was handed over this system, i cribbed a lot that how will i use it. But the IT guy told me this trick and i must say that if you think differently, you can find a way or a hack for almost anything.

You must be thinking that why the hell am i using this spanish laptop in first place itself. So, just for your information, I am in Mexico on a business visit and have to use the company's laptop for meetings.
