Have you ever wondered how much water gets wasted by your air conditioner every day? I also did not thought about it until i had to repair the drain pipe attached with our home AC(Air conditioner). As per my rough estimate, an air conditioner releases about 1 litre of water in 2 hours.

So, if we run our AC for about 10 hours daily on a conservative estimate, we are wasting 5 litres of water everyday. That makes it 1825 litres of water getting wasted each year.

Can't we do something to recyle this water? Yes, we can. It depends on personal preferences but I thought of using it for watering the plants in my small garden. You can also do the same.

You don't need to do lot of work to achieve this. Just connect one end of a simple rubber/plastic pipe to the AC water vent and other to the plant. If this is not possible, try connecting the pipe with a water tank or a container and then use that water in any way you want.

Remember, the most precious resource on earth can't be manufactured. Please recyle and help contributing to environment and save money on your water bills too.
