How to install themes in NopCommerce?

I just downloaded some free themes from NopCommerce site. How should i add it to my website now so that i can see them in administration?

Just copy the theme folders into NoCommerceStore/App_theme folder.
As soon as you copy them there, go to your nopCommerce installation and then

Administration->Configuration tab->Global Settings->SEO/Display tab.

On this tab, you would see the new copied themes listed in 'Store Theme' drop down box.

Is it possible to get a template to design some different color schemes?

You can pick any theme and then change the colors in style sheets. Also, change the colors of the images using any drawing tool.
