USCIS i-131 form allows you to file 3 different types of travel document:
- Reentry Permit.
- Refugee Travel document.
- Advance Parole – for people who are currently in the USA.
- Advance Parole – for people who are currently outside the USA.
You do not need to apply for advance parole if you one of these visa to return to the USA:
- H1B, H4, L1, L2 work visa.
- K-3 spouse, or K-4 child of a U.S. citizen
- V-1 spouse, or V-2/V-3 child of a lawful permanent resident.
An H1B/L1 visa holder status can change to parolee if he uses advance parole to enter the USA.
