HTML5 has been making waves and the recent addition is the voice listening and writing it into the web text box. So, what are you waiting for? Add it immediately to your Google Adsense Search box and help your site visitors with the luxury of just speaking what they want to search without even typing anything.
How to add the voice search to your Google Adsense Search Text Box?
It is pretty simple. You just need to add x-webkit-speech attribute to the text input box of Google search and you are done.
How does it work?
The user can simply click on the voice icon and a small dialog will open up. This signals that user can start speaking. Once finished, the system will try to identify the soken words and write them into the text box automatically. User then needs to click the ‘Search’ button to search for the results.
Google itself is sporting this voice search icon on its home page.
Where all does it work?
I tested it on Chrome 11 , IE9 and Mozilla 3 and it only works in chrome 11 . It may be supported by other browsers in future.
