Employer sponsorship for Permanent Residence

Employer sponsorship is optional in Australia and you can directly file for permanent residency unlike US, where you need an employer to file for your green card.

If you have the required points, you will be selected and will get a PR even before you travel to Australia.
Applicants with 65+ points get the invitation to apply pretty fast. Once you have applied, you can expect to get the PR within 5-8 months.

H1B worker in US move to Australia

If you are currently working on H1B in US and fed up with long waiting for green card, Australia is a good option. They give you Permanent residency (Australian Green Card) even before you land there for the first time!

Please note that even if you move to Australia for work, your Green card application in US can stay active.
Remember that Green card in US is filed for future job and your i-140 remains active.
You can return to US in future if your priority date becomes current and the employer is ready to hire you.

Police Clearance Certificate for Australia Permanent Residency

Police verification is required for all adults (18+), who are part of your PR application, from all countries where they have lived in past 10 years.

Hello, Thank you in advance for your assistance. I have a work experience of 9 years & 9 months in Technical support (BPO) & Service/Help Desk, which I think qualifies for anzsco# 313112. I have a 3 years engineering diploma in Electronics & Communication completed in 2002 and a BCA (2009-2012) degree through distance learning from EIILM university. My BCA overlaps with my work experience. I have been told that distance education would not be considered. I have also done CCNA & MCSA certifications in 2017. Would ACS assess me for 313112 with my ECE diploma and computer related work experience? If yes, is there a particular format for the experience letters? Should I also send my CCNA & MCSA to ACS? Kindly suggest.

I have applied under the job code 224113 (Statistician) with 65 points for 189. Total quota for 22411 is 1000 out of which only 83 visa have been issued this year. I wanted to ask because this is a rare skill set for which people apply, is there a possibility that i get 189 visa at 65 points.

You do have a good chance of invite for 224113 (statistician) with 65 points in 190 visa category.

The 189 invite should also be sent as the number of EOI are also low in your job code.
But, as per last draw, the minimum points were 75 for an invite.

    Hello Anil,

I am on H1B and my PERM process in progress & expected to get in 1-2 months. I would like to see ACS evaluation and look for Australia PR options.

    1) Will there any issue if we try other country green card while PERM/i140 EB2 application is processing?
    2) Do I need to mention about other country visa processing in i140 or any other stage?

    Thanking you in advance!

    HI Anil,

I have 14 months of Australian experience out of which 3 months were when I was on 400 Visa (company sponsored).
I have filed ACS in which I have not mentioned these 3 months as Australian Experience and has shown it as Indian Experience as my employer said they cannot provide the experience letter from Australia.
Though I have all the proofs I was unable to show in ACS application thinking that it might cause issue later on.
Now I have 65 points and if I add 1 year of Australian experience it would be 70 points.
Please suggest if I need to lodge a new ACS request to include this experience or can I proceed with this ACS and mention in the AOI.
I have company offer letter which shows 42 days of work, the bridging visa which I received after expiry of my 400 Visa.
    Please suggest.

You cannot use any of the points from point 9 at this time.

You will be able to claim state sponsorship points if any state invites you after you file your Australia EOI.
