    Hi Anil,

Thanks for your posts and responses, very informative. Have some queries, would be great if you could answer these individually. Sorry for the long post, hope the responses would help quell doubts of most of us here.

I intend to get my credentials verified by WES and accordingly need to send my transcripts from DU to WES, Canada.
Need help with getting this done without personally travelling to Delhi (as far as possible).

    1. I’m staying in Mumbai and need to get transcripts from DU (North campus). If I send across the required documents via India Post to DU, whom do I address it to exactly so the envelope reaches the right hands?
And whom do I connect with in Exam house to track the status of the availability of the transcripts and to asertain that they’ve received my documents? Will they intimate once the sealed envelope is ready to be picked up?

    2. If we send a return envelope with the required docs, as you’ve mentioned, it defeats the purpose of mailing it via the post office in the University premises since we’d need to visit the DU premised for mailing it.
Is there a way to arrange the sealed envelope to be sent to WES directly instead of receiving it on my address?
Or does this part require me or an authorized personnel to courier it to WES?

    3. Is attestation not required on marksheets i.e. does the DU staff provide transcripts basis only the photocopies without having a look at the originals?

    4. Are they aware of the WES academic form that needs to be filled in (Part B) since once the envelope is sealed, there is no way for us to verify this?

    5. The Syllabus copy that we need to create by ourselves, what should be the contents?
Would paper code, paper name suffice or detailed course contents are needed (this would run into multiple pages)?

    6. I am planning to include my degree photocopy along with other docs so it is part of the sealed envelope that DU provides to me. Is this advisable?
Opening the sealed envelope of transcripts to include the degree photocopy wouldn’t be the best way to do this.
Also, sending just a copy of degree certificate separately to WES would be expensive and unwise especially since the transcripts package is already travelling to WES.
    What do you suggest?

    7. Lastly, is there a masked version of the transcripts from DU available, to get an idea of they look like?

Thanks in advance, await your response.

        Hi Anil,

Thanks. Have gone through, couldn’t find answer to one, please answer this one query.

And whom do I connect with in Exam house to track the status of the availability of the transcripts and to asertain that they’ve received my documents? Will they intimate once the sealed envelope is ready to be picked up?

The DU address is given above for applying by post. There is no one that you connect at DU office to know the status of you application. They do not have any call center to track to track your application.

You have to go by yourself after 10 days to pick up the documents or check status.

Hi, I applied for transcripts from DU on the 1st of April. Is there a way I can follow up on my application status? Also, what is the general ETA?

DU takes 10 working days to issue transcripts.
There is no way to track the status. You should just visit the university office and ask for the transcripts.

    Hi,
Please can someone confirm that for school of open learning, one has to visit which campus- north or south? Also in form page 2, there is a line ‘received documents’, does one need to sign and submit this page as well?

Visit North Campus for school of correspondence.
I think you need to sign it.

    Hi,
I would like to update few things here as it may save someone’s time.
I am not sure about the DU North Campus but in South campus they do not accept cash payments so make sure you pay the transcript fee through DU portal and take 2 receipts along. Also if you are submitting WES form along with the DU form then you need to get it attested from your college and then submit it. They will not accept the form otherwise.
    Hope this helps

Hello sir, I want to apply for transcripts from DU. However, I do not have 1st and 2nd years mark sheets. I only have 3rd years mark sheet and degree certificate. My 3rd-year mark sheet is showing marks obtained in each subject in 3rd years and total marks for 1st and 2 years respectively (not subject wise). Will this suffice? Or do I need to apply for duplicate mark sheets for 1st and 2nd years before applying for transcripts? Thanks!

    • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 13 Mar, 19 at 8:21 pm

I am not sure if this is acceptable by DU. Please check with the university officials.

I have done Masters from IGNOU and bachelors from DU, will I have to send two transcripts separately from different post offices as both of them don’t have the option of sending the transcripts to WES

    • Anil Gupta

Looks like you do have to send transcripts separately to WES.
