Hi, I read all the comments on this forum but still unsure of one thing – As per WES guidelines, the WES Academic Records Request Form has to placed in the same envelop along with the academic records. Will DU do that if I handover the WES Academic Records Request Form while I submit the Application Form for transcripts to DU?

    Hello people.

I have a question about the degree verification process. I have submitted the document and fees online. Now can I just go and collect it from window 4 in 7 days? Or is something else required to be done.

Hi, I am applying for issuance of transcripts from Delhi University for my masters and bachelors degree, I need it in sealed envelope sent directly to WES for Canadian immigration purposes. I have few questions and would relay appreciate if someone can respond-
    1. I am applying form outside India, but someone in India will pick up the sealed envelope from DU and then send from FedEx near the examination office to sent it to WES. So, do I pay Rs. 1500 or US$ 150 for transcripts? Because US$ 150 includes postage charges, which they are not doing. If however, I have to pay US$ 150, the online system is not giving me option to do so, how shall I proceed?
    2. I need to two transcripts for my Bachelors and masters, so how should I get two different payment receipts? Shall make two different user profiles on university website, as it doesn’t let me change the course once you make a profile.

    Hi Anil,

I did my graduation from School of Correspondence , North Campus , Delhi University . I lives in south india now. For Canadian Immigration , Mark-sheet Transcripts , what is correct procedure ? do i need to personally visit delhi university or i can get the Marksheet transcripts via post or Courier ? Please advice

    Hi Anil,

Thanks for your posts and responses, very informative. Have some queries, would be great if you could answer these individually. Sorry for the long post, hope the responses would help quell doubts of most of us here.

I intend to get my credentials verified by WES and accordingly need to send my transcripts from DU to WES, Canada.
Need help with getting this done without personally travelling to Delhi (as far as possible).

    1. I’m staying in Mumbai and need to get transcripts from DU (North campus). If I send across the required documents via India Post to DU, whom do I address it to exactly so the envelope reaches the right hands?
And whom do I connect with in Exam house to track the status of the availability of the transcripts and to asertain that they’ve received my documents? Will they intimate once the sealed envelope is ready to be picked up?

    2. If we send a return envelope with the required docs, as you’ve mentioned, it defeats the purpose of mailing it via the post office in the University premises since we’d need to visit the DU premised for mailing it.
Is there a way to arrange the sealed envelope to be sent to WES directly instead of receiving it on my address?
Or does this part require me or an authorized personnel to courier it to WES?

    3. Is attestation not required on marksheets i.e. does the DU staff provide transcripts basis only the photocopies without having a look at the originals?

    4. Are they aware of the WES academic form that needs to be filled in (Part B) since once the envelope is sealed, there is no way for us to verify this?

    5. The Syllabus copy that we need to create by ourselves, what should be the contents?
Would paper code, paper name suffice or detailed course contents are needed (this would run into multiple pages)?

    6. I am planning to include my degree photocopy along with other docs so it is part of the sealed envelope that DU provides to me. Is this advisable?
Opening the sealed envelope of transcripts to include the degree photocopy wouldn’t be the best way to do this.
Also, sending just a copy of degree certificate separately to WES would be expensive and unwise especially since the transcripts package is already travelling to WES.
    What do you suggest?

    7. Lastly, is there a masked version of the transcripts from DU available, to get an idea of they look like?

Thanks in advance, await your response.

        Hi Anil,

Thanks. Have gone through, couldn’t find answer to one, please answer this one query.

The DU address is given above for applying by post. There is no one that you connect at DU office to know the status of you application. They do not have any call center to track to track your application.

You have to go by yourself after 10 days to pick up the documents or check status.

DU takes 10 working days to issue transcripts.
There is no way to track the status. You should just visit the university office and ask for the transcripts.

I would like to update few things here as it may save someone’s time.
I am not sure about the DU North Campus but in South campus they do not accept cash payments so make sure you pay the transcript fee through DU portal and take 2 receipts along. Also if you are submitting WES form along with the DU form then you need to get it attested from your college and then submit it. They will not accept the form otherwise.
    Hope this helps

Hello sir, I want to apply for transcripts from DU. However, I do not have 1st and 2nd years mark sheets. I only have 3rd years mark sheet and degree certificate. My 3rd-year mark sheet is showing marks obtained in each subject in 3rd years and total marks for 1st and 2 years respectively (not subject wise). Will this suffice? Or do I need to apply for duplicate mark sheets for 1st and 2nd years before applying for transcripts? Thanks!

The process is same for all documents that you need from DU.
As per my information, you can take the copy of your Degree and get the DU stamp on it. Then, send it to WES from DU post office.
I have written about how to send DU Transcripts directly to WES Canada here.

      • Bharti Chaudhary
Bharti Chaudhary 11 Feb, 19 at 8:10 am

Thank you Anil. I have already [aid online money for transcripts. Should i follow the same process and ask them to specifically attest my degree and add it in the transcripts this time?

        • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 11 Feb, 19 at 8:10 am

I don’t think DU has any process to send degree copy. So, if you request for transcripts, they will send only the transcripts again.

What i have heard is that you have to carry the copy of Degree and ask them to keep it in the same envelope as transcript, seal it and then send it to WES.

        Hello Anil,

It would be great if you can reply to me. I have all the mark-sheets + Grad Degree certificate. I did my grad from Open school. Will it be the same North campus for Canadian PR? I am sending my docs to IQAS for edu verification and not WES, do I need to give my IQAS form to the university guys so that it can be put into the envelope? And last question, will I get separate envelopes for mark-sheets and degree?

How much is the expense? My apologies, if some of these are repeated ones. Please let me know.

        • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 16 Feb, 19 at 9:24 am

WES Canada and IQAS document requirement might vary. What does IQAS require? Do they want you to send the Transcripts directly from Delhi University?

          • Pankaj Mohan Sharma
Pankaj Mohan Sharma 16 Feb, 19 at 10:26 pm

No, I can send it myself… I am coordinating with Symbiosis as well for my MBA docs + DU documents. I will make one packet and send it across to IQAS. Unlike WES, it is mandatory to send the IQAS application form (which I downloaded after making required payments). I have a reference number (like WES) from IQAS. That’s why I asked the question about inserting the form in DU packet. If you dont mind, can we connect on phone please? Please let me know. I am based out of Bangalore and travelling to Delhi only for this purpose as I’ve realised things might not work/ get delayed simply over the phone.

            • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 17 Feb, 19 at 10:59 am

If IQAS does not require a direct mail from university, then you can just collect the sealed packet from DU and keep it in a bigger outer enveloper with your Symbiosis sealed packet and mail them.

I do not provide consulting on phone at this time. Sorry.

They are giving transcripts in the same way they were giving earlier, charges also are the same. When you go to collect the transcript, they are asking to courier it by yourself. So, basically, you aren’t paying anything extra to them other than the basic transcript charges. Speed post courier from their post office is Rs.1400 which you will give to the post office.

What is meant by degree certificate? Isn’t it simply a photocopy of degree (we already have) which is “attested” by DU? Or there is a separate degree certificate which we need to obtain from DU separately, if yes, how/where do we get that?

Hi Ritu. Thank you for sharing this info. This notice which you shared and WES Canada website says that it will not accept transcripts sent by colleges. I’m from Miranda House (North campus) and I already have sealed transcripts from college . What shall I do in this case? Shall I courier them as it is or will the University office change it in some manner?

Another question: WES Canada says that degree is to be sent by the candidate and transcripts by the University. Shall I send the degree in a separate envelope or get it added in the transcripts envelope like happened in your case?

Hi, Anyone here who has requested transcript from Maharishi dayanand university (MDU) rohtak and send directly to WES via MDU address or followed any other procedure.

I know my question not relevant here in DU discussion trail .Please redirect my post to concerned discussion group.

    Many thanks

Anil Gupta 9 Feb, 19 at 10:01 am

      Hi Kuldeep,
If the MDU university does not have the option of sending transcripts directly to WES, then you should follow the same process as DU has defined i.e. get transcripts in person from MDU and then post them directly from Post office located within campus or same PIN CODE directly to WES.

With WES process change , how to get DU send the documents directly to WES. Shall i pay Rs. 1500 or $150 for the transcript fees to DU.
Do I need to send a return envelope to DU with the WES,CANADA address and reference number.

    • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 9 Feb, 19 at 10:02 am

You have to pay in USD and give WES address directly.
Yes, please include a WES addressed return envelope too as there is no clear guidance from DU if they will use their return envelope or not in case of outside India delivery.

      • Ishmeet
        Ishmeet 9 Feb, 19 at 10:12 am

In online payment it doesn’t give any option to select outside india for transcripts . If you check India it by default for payment of RS1500 . I couldn’t find the option on how to pay fees in USD online as there is no option to select other than India.

        • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 9 Feb, 19 at 10:42 am

Ok. .after talking to many people, the only option to pay in USD is to get a DD made by the bank (SBI or ICICI) inside the DU campus using that day’s exchange rate.

Then, this DD and application form can be submitted.

There is no other option that is available at this time that I could find.

Anil Gupta 9 Feb, 19 at 10:43 am

            • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 11 Feb, 19 at 8:12 am

Yes, you can and that seems to be an option for many people.
But, WES Canada has clearly mentioned that if they find it out that someone else i.e. other than DU including third party consultant or any friend or relative has mailed the trasncript to WES, then can reject it straigthaway.

So, its a risk that may or may not pay off.

    Hi Anil,
Do you have any update on the process for transcripts verification for those residing abroad? Making a personal visit to DU at this time is not possible as I am out of India.

    • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 9 Feb, 19 at 10:02 am

The only option i could find was to have someone (in person) submit the fees (in USD converted to INR at ICICI bank inside DU campus to make sure you pay the correct conversion rate.
Submit the application with DD and mark the address as WES address directly on the envelope.
DU will then post it directly to WES.

      • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 9 Feb, 19 at 10:04 am

Yes, if you send the documents directly to WES. WES has changed the requirement and has made it mandatory to directly get transcripts mailed from DU to WES.
If you do not do it, they will send verification request to DU which will again cost your USD 200.

For WES application, there are few gaps still, can you help? Here is the step by step process With questions):
    1. The applicant completes the application form and supporting copies of documents as required by DU to get transcript. WES application form requires a verified degree copy along with transcript. Will it require to fill 2 DU application forms for obtaining these 2 documents (transcripts and verified degree copy)?
    2. Will the payment be done for each separately (USD 150 for transcript and USD 100 for degree (for more than 6 yrs old degree))?
    3. Or one common application form would do for both, will both fee apply in this case.
    4. Once done, we go through gate 1 of DU north campus office and submit them the application, get DDs made and submit that too along, provide an envelope addressed to WES directly. They will give back a sealed envelope. How much time does this take? Does it happens on the same day?
    5. We take the sealed envelope (is it one or two as it has to contain degree + transcript )to DU post office and post from there.
Am I Missing something? Please help.

    • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 9 Feb, 19 at 10:01 am

      1. I think you have to pay separate fees for degree and mark sheet transcript and apply separately.
      2. Yes, the payment should be made separately. Please confirm with the DU office though before getting DDs.
      3. Transcript and Degree processing takes at-least 10 days. They won’t be given back same day.

        SSingh 9 Feb, 19 at 10:13 am

Still confused as to whether we have to apply for degree verification separately, or ask the university to add a normal photocopy to the sealed transcripts envelope, or get the sealed envelope add it along with a normal devree photocopy to a bigger envelope and then send them through university post office?

Anil Gupta 9 Feb, 19 at 10:42 am

You have some very valid questions. Even I want to understand, how do we ensure both transcripts and the degree copy is in the same envelope?

The only thing you can do now is to send them to WES from post office inside DU campus.
WES has clearly said that they may reject the transcripts that are sent by you or any friend, if they can find it.

You can give it a try. If not, then apply again and give the mailing address as WES address if these are rejected by WES.

      • vinamra
        vinamra 9 Feb, 19 at 10:11 am

I think both amount to same thing? DU sending from their post office on own (and charging USD 100) OR we collecting sealed envelopes and sending from the PO inside DU (would cost much less) ….. Am I correct?

        vinamra 9 Feb, 19 at 10:11 am

I was lucky to get someone pick my phone as Exam Wing in DU – they clearly said they dont have any provision on sending to WES directly, one can collect sealed verified envelop from DU and send via Post Office inside DU campus (then the sender name would be DU)

Let me share my experience on ECA by WES for Delhi University.

My WES account status was put On HOLD for verification of documents by issuing institute on 11th December. Since then I am trying to get in touch with Delhi University over phone. Sometimes they do not attend calls and many times they would tell concerned person is not available.
I found a mobile number of person from DU directory and called him, he took my details (WES Ref #, Name) and told they had not received any email from WES. I had contacted this person on 17th December.

After this I continuously dropped messages to WES on twitter as well as Contact Us option on WES website. But every time they responded with generic messages that they cannot disclose the details to which email ID they had sent the information. Therefore, I was not able to pay verification fee which is charged by DU for verification (200 USD in my case for both Degree and Transcript verification).

Today (28.12.2018), I visited Delhi University North Campus Gate No. 1, Counter No. 10 of VC Office at 11 A.M. in the morning. The person on the window gave me a slip to visit Room No. 103 on First Floor. On visiting the room, I provided my WES Ref # to the lady but she was also not able to find email from WES. She insisted me to go to Dean’s Office on Ground floor to confirm if they had received the email. But even person in Dean’s Office was not able to locate the email. I was again redirected to Room No. 103 to confirm for postal mail this time as electronic email they were not able to find.
In Room No. 103 they couldn’t find even postal mail against my Reference Number. I was caught in No Mans Land situation.
The lady then told me to got to Degree verification Room (Room # 207) i.e. on Second Floor. I gave my Reference # to the person and finally he was able to find the email and he told me the email was received on 17th December. He was shocked that why other people were not able to find the email because they were marked in it.

He guided me to further verification process. I created 2 DD in favor of The Registrar, University of Delhi worth Rs 7000 each (100 USD) from ICICI branch which is located in the University premises. Luckily I had a account in ICICI bank and was carrying the Cheque book with me. The other option is SBI which is also in premises. But please do not forget to carry cheque book in case you want to make DD and ensure you have an account in any of these banks. Otherwise they wont entertain you and you will have to visit again.

Finally I gave one DD in Room No 103 for transcript verification and other in Room No 207 for Degree Verification. As informed by concerned person they will take 20-25 days to respond to WES because WES is sending documents for verification in huge numbers since last month their workload has increased drastically.

    I hope this helps…!!!

You can use hellofax web application to fax the document.
            1. Write your Ref # along with WES address on plain A4 sheet (Cover letter).
            2. Scan this A4 sheet along with your Degree certificate.
            3. Create cover letter from hellofax website.

I think what Rohit has mentioned is that WES sends an email to DU directly for verification. Once the email is received by DU, you (the applicant) needs to pay the verification fees.
There is no need to send any mark sheet copy as such, if I am not wrong.

            Hello Anil and Friends

I need to send the Statement of Marks to WES.

They say that the Statement of Marks should be sent by Uni directly. What does this mean ? I do not think the Uni will ever send that directly to WES.

            Q. Case 1 = Should the Statement of marks be sent by Uni, directly to WES? If Yes, then how do we tell them address and is there a way to track if they have sent or not?
Case 2 = As usual the uni gives me the Statement of marks in the sealed and stamped envelop, and I send it to WES in an encasing envelop?

If Case 1 applies : Then logically there should be no need for another round of verification of the Statement of Marks initiated by WES with Uni.

If Case 2 applies : Then WES after receiving the copy, send verification request to uni, we pay again to uni to verify the WES enquiry…. and so on.

            Please reply.

              Kamal 10 Feb, 19 at 12:27 pm

              Just to Add.

Seriously friends. This is really pathetic at the hand of WES. We should rather just be sending a simple Photocopy of our credentials to WES. Since WES is anyways talking to Uni directly for verification of creds, then why does it give us wild-goose chase to obtain the transcript. We should just pay creds verification fee to Uni and then Uni verifies it and WES can keep that communication for their records.

Here is the comment in my WES application:

              ************ STARTS
              2. Statement of Marks (University Issued and Attested), Bachelor of Commerce, 2003

              Not Accepted | Details
Reason: WES received your mark sheets, but they were not sent directly from your academic institution as required by WES.

Instructions: Please ask your academic institution to send your mark sheets directly to WES in a sealed envelope that is signed or stamped across the back flap by the appropriate official.
              ************ ENDS

              They are sounding two faced.

First they tell us to tell Uni to send the Creds directly to them in Uni sealed and stamped envelop.
Then they ask Uni again that; Are these Creds authentic? DUH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

              I wish they were listening.

Yes, I understand the frustration created by WES.
They have un-necessarily added this requirement.

    • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 14 Jan, 19 at 10:05 am

Several people have reported that WES has changed the process. WES now needs Delhi University to send the sealed envelopes directly to WES.
I don’t think DU has that facility yet.

There is a change is procedure for sending the transcripts. Now the university needs to send them directly to the WES.
Is this information passed on to the universities? Because DU people are saying that they have not been updated about this info yet.

It depends on your requirement on what degree transcript is required. I cannot guess if you need to send both or only 1 of them for your purpose.

    Hi Anil,

I had sent my DU transcripts for verification to WES. Now, they have put my status On Hold mentioning that document have been sent for verification to issuing institute. I am not sure what to do next. In the email from WES they had mentioned that DU requires fee for verification of documents which has to be paid to University directly. And I am not sure how much is the fees and what is the procedure.
However, I had also heard I need not pay anything for verification process as it is communication between University and WES.

Can you please help me with the verification process of DU and how could I expedite the process?

    Appreciate your help..!!!

    • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 14 Dec, 18 at 11:50 am

I am not aware of this process. Did you check with WES on how to pay DU in this case?
They have recently started this verification process and hence they may have listed the process somewhere.

I am not sure if DU gives the ”transcript of degree’.
Check with your college if you can submit the copy of the degree that you already have with you.

    Hi Anil,

I had applied for transcript via Postal Mail in DU. It has been 2 weeks since I have posted all the documents via Speed Post.
By when should I expect the transcripts delivered to my home address?
And is there any contact number of DU where I could get the status of my application. I am just worried if I made any mistake in above mentioned documents will they contact me back?

    Thank you in advance.

    Appreciate your help…!!!

    • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 24 Oct, 18 at 5:27 am

Have you applied from India? And what’s your delivery address? Is it also in India?
DU takes at least 10 working days to process and then add mailing time.
In this festival season, it is possible that they have to taken long holidays for Dussehra.

You should get it in another 10 days (my estimation).
As far as I know, there is no helpline from DU and neither do they contact.

        Hi Anil,

Yes, I had applied from Gurgaon India. The delivery address is also of Gurgaon.

Going by your estimation, I should receive it by coming week. Right?

        Hi Anil,

I came across an article on Quora which says:
“Pay for your transcripts. Remember: The payment is only valid for the day you pay and at max the next working day.”

As I have sent the documents through speed post, I am doubtful this point stands. Because we are not sure when DU get those documents.

Can you please suggest what should I do next, I am still waiting for the transcripts. It has been almost 25 days since I had sent the documents.

    Hi Anil,
i have a query as you must be knowing that apart from WES there are other institutions as well , where the assessment of the documents can be done.
i wanted to know about IQAS ( not sure if you have the details), as per IQAS the transcripts are needed in a sealed envelope sent directly from the university. Can you please share if DU ( north and south) has a provision for the transcripts to be sent directly to the agency.

    • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 24 Oct, 18 at 5:24 am

You can write the IQAS address on the return envelope. Not sure if DU has any such option by themselves.

also i have one more doubt, if i am sending the documents through bluedart courier, do i need to get the postage stamp on the envelopes with my return address or the university will do the needful?

    • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 21 Oct, 18 at 10:25 am

You have to send the return envelope (with stamps already pasted on it) and keep it inside the envelope that you are sending to Delhi University.

Diljeet kaur 20 Oct, 18 at 11:07 pm

hi could you guide me how i can get an attested copy of the degree? i am following the steps for transcript and will be mailing them all the documents, but it would be great if i can ask them for copy of my degree and send required documents together.

    • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 21 Oct, 18 at 10:26 am

It depends on who’s attestation you need for your degrees.
Sealed transcripts are attested by official DU stamp and seal and if that is acceptable for your purpose, you can use them.

    Hello Anil,
Need some pointers/details. WES has sent my documents for verification back to University of Delhi. I have no idea what to do next. WES says that no action is required on my part as it is the University that has to reply to them. But I don’t know on which email id or address they have sent the documents to Univ. of Delhi. Any help/pointers will be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Don’t worry. It is a normal process and WES does it everyday. You are not the first one. They know the address that they need to send it for verification.

Vikas Jain 15 Oct, 18 at 11:54 am

Thanks for the quick reply Anil. But won’t University of Delhi require some fees to be paid by me for them to send the documents to WES? I am not sure of the process. How will I come to know if some fees has to be paid to Delhi Univ or not. Thanks.

        • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 15 Oct, 18 at 12:08 pm

As far as i know, if WES is sending it directly to DU for verification, you do not need to pay anything.
You only pay when you request sealed transcripts from DU directly.

There is a correction here, actually I am also facing the same situation. After visiting university and confirming from the concerned officials they have told me to get 100 USD each in the name of Registrar, University of Delhi for Marksheet and Degree verification. Nowadays WES is sending verification for most of the cases which was one or two cases a month earlier.

          • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 16 Oct, 18 at 8:06 am

So, you mean to say that you do not need to directly get the sealed transcripts first? Has WES changed the process? I am not aware of it if it has been changed.
            Can you share more details?

    AW 12 Oct, 18 at 1:06 am

Hello Anil, first of all I appreciate you writing up this detailed article. It really helps !!
My question is that if I need transcript for multiple purposes e.g Immigration for Canada & Australia and for Study in USA then can I request request for 2 additional copies along with one main request ? If yes, then will DU send me 3 separate sealed envelopes ? If DU placed all in one sealed envelope then how can I send this to multiple location ? I understand WES Canada needs sealed envelope whereas Australia ACS does not. Do you think, If I provide them 3 separate return pre-paid envelope along with a instruction note on plain paper then DU can mail these separately ? Thanks again !!

    • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 12 Oct, 18 at 9:50 am

You only need to send one return envelope.
DU will themselves keep each transcript copy in it’s own sealed envelope. They will then mail you all sealed envelopes in your ‘return envelope’.
      Does that answer your question?

      • AW
        AW 12 Oct, 18 at 4:13 pm

Thanks Anil for your quick response. Yes, it does answer my questions. If that is that case then it will solve my concern. I was going through some other blogs as well and came across where moderator has mentioned to provide envelopes for each transcript you order in addition to Return label envelope. But guess DU uses there sealed envelope. I am gonna request one copy for my self too 🙂
Thanks again for your help in outlining this ..Appreciated !!

            Hi Anil,
I checked all my mark-sheets and none of them have the Paper details. Possibly during 1992-95 they do not have them printed on the back. Do you know what is the other option to get the Paper Number & details? I have already tried the DU link and it has syllabus from 2011-12 onward. I do not have date sheet either and I also checked other resources but no luck.

Also just wanted to clarify if providing the Syllabus is also a required document and it is different to the paper names which needs to be written on separate sheet ?.. Thanks again !!

            • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 23 Oct, 18 at 5:52 pm

Syllabus and paper names is one and same thing.
You can write whatever papers you remember and submit your request if you can’t find details online.

    • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 3 Sep, 18 at 1:08 pm

It depends on your requirement and where you want to use it.
Sealed transcripts are usually required to apply for immigration or schools in US, Canada and other countries.

If the place where are you intending to use it is asking for ‘Transcripts’ or ‘sealed transcripts’, then you need to apply for it separately using the above process.

    Hi Anil.

I have a question. What if someone failed a year and completed the graduation in 4 years? In the Transcript form that we need to submit to the Delhi University do we need to mention that failed year marks also and attached the mark sheet of the year failed. Or only we need to fill the passed year information? will this have any impact on the transcripts submitted to WES for Canadian PR?

    • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 18 Jul, 18 at 6:08 pm

I have no idea about submitting failed year mark sheets or not.
I guess you get what you ask for from Delhi University. If you just ask the transcripts for passed years, they should give passed year transcripts only.

As far as WES Canadian PR is concerned, they have their own rules to evaluate your education. I don’t think they give any importance to failed year as long as you finished your course and finally passed out of it.

I have recently join infosys Mysuru Location ,i have submitted my Delhi University degree And Consolidated college attested mark sheet which is 2011-2014 batch in BSc. Physical science with computer science Course From Moti Lal Nehru College(Affiliated to DU),At that time University and my college not issue any semester wise mark sheet.
But Infosys reject my marksheet and said me to submit semester wise mark sheet(All of Six Semesters), I told them my university not issue semester wise mark sheet ,they said that give me that in written proof or any notification issued by University or ask college or Univeristy to written on letter head that they not issue semester wise marksheet only issue consolidated and degree.

Can u please suggest me what can i do in this case ,can i apply for online transcript according to this blog ,are u sure they issued semester wise marksheet because i have consolidated marksheet already .If u have any notification regarding this issue please email me i am very grateful to you.

      Hi Harry,
I am not aware of any such notification, if any has been issued by Delhi University.
You can request DU transcripts and submit them with your employer. The sealed transcripts from DU will prove that they came from direct university and that should be good enough for Infosys.

That is it in progress or stopped because of that error. Do you have any link or contact number where I can track the application status?

If your exams were held by DU examinations, then they will have your mark sheet data.
You can try requesting the transcripts and see what happens.
I do not know if there is any other option available.

Another Question Please help! I had applied for revaluation of a particular subject in B. Com (Part II, year 2003). I had to hand over the original marksheet to the college authorities during the revaluation application process and they handed me over a totally different marksheet stamped “Revaluation” on it. It has the pre- revaluation marks . My marks improved. There is no post revaluation marksheet for Part II with me. However Part III marksheet has the marks for the previous year as well (Consolidated marksheet for Part II and Part III). Now I do not remember whether I missed collecting the marksheet or no new marksheet is issued at all after revaluation. All I have now is Part 1 marksheet, consolidated Part II and Part III marksheet. Will I still get the transcripts from DU?? Another question – If I missed collecting the post revaluation marksheet can i collect it now? What is the process? I live in US and getting a FIR done seems difficult for me. Does anyone have a working contact number from the department which issues transcripts??

      Hi RR,
      1. I have no experience with re-valuation mark sheets issue.
      2. As per my information, the part I and part 2 + Part 3 consolidated mark sheets should be good enough for your visa and immigration purpose.

I graduated – BA (Pass) in 1999. We did not have a semester system, 4 subjects (English, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics) for 3 years. I also do not have the syllabus. Subjects/Syllabus are not printed on the back of the marksheet. There are only some rules about passing.

I am in Bangalore. What should I write to the Section Office about the syllabus when I send the form by post ?

Also, will they take a new print of the transcript or just affix a seal on the copy I will be sending and return it in a sealed envelope?

Whatever subjects you had can be written. Also, i have shared the DU’s official link in above article to find your course’s syllabus if you already do not know about it. Did you check that link fo ryour specific BA course?

If you do not have any syllabus mentioned there, then you can just write the name of the subjects on plain piece of paper.

DU prints your mark sheets in their format on new paper and then stamps with official seal.

Thanks for your reply. You are very kind. Before posting here, I had checked the link you had provided for syllabus, but I could not find it there. I graduated in 1999, almost 20 years back, I really wonder if they would have syllabus of that time. Anyway, I have written the subjects year wise on a separate piece of paper like you suggested and have sent it along with a letter, application form, online fees paid receipt, degree and transcript copies and return stamped envelope.

Do you know if they process cases received by post with the same importance as in-person application? For example, would they make an effort to mail the self addressed, stamped envelope?

Anil Gupta 31 May, 18 at 7:29 am

Mailing back the stamped return envelope is standard process by DU.
I think the applications are processed on first come first serve basis. There is no extra sweetness attached to the in-person applications as such.
All DU need is the FEES…which is paid for both type of applications!

Hi…I live in USA. I am planning to send a filled scanned copy of the application form to my Sister who lives in India. She can take a print and send it to the relevant campus of DU to get the transcripts. Can someone tell me if the scanned copy will be accepted by the University? Also can someone please suggest a reliable and reasonable mail service in India to send documents to USA.

I think its better you directly post (mail) the application form to DU and give the return envelope post marked to your sister’s Indian address.
I am not sure if scanned copy will be accepted by DU or not. They may just create issue.

What you can do is…create a return shipping label from Fedex (India) and then use a standard envelope and paste it on it. Keep this return envelope in your package and send your application form with Indian fees directly to DU.

Then, later your sister can mail the sealed transcripts to you in USA using Fedex or DHL or UPS from India to US.

      Does that make sense?

Hi . I passed out from Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College, Defence Colony. I am applying by mail as I don’t live n Delhi. Which address do I send to? North or South? My college website doesn’t mention which campus we are under.
Also, a query about return envelope. How do I know the amount of postage to attach( I am requesting 7 copies of transcript).?And the return envelope will have to be a big one, right? Also it will it be regular post? There is no way to pay for speed post or registered post in advance.

    Thanks in advance

Anil Gupta 25 May, 18 at 11:44 am

      1. Defence colony is in South Delhi. So, i would suggest to send it to DU South Campus address (mentioned in above article).
      2. The real DU transcript envelope image has been shown in above article. Its pretty thin and the size is shown too. You can gauge the total size that you may have for 7 copies.
      3. I would suggest to use the private courier for return envelope that has tracking too. Something like Fedex is a good option as they allow printing shipping labels in advance.
Regular India post is pathetic and you may just loose everything if the mail is NOT delivered!

Hi…My name is Aman. Can someone please help.

I passed BA Pass back in 2008. I live in USA now and planning to do Masters. I have a provisional degree certificate, and transcript report showing all the subjects I studied and my passing numbers and 3rd year mark-sheet showing all three years marks. I need to get sealed transcripts for degree evaluation. If I send copies of these and filled transcript form, will that be enough? Please help.

Did you check if your syllabus is available here on DU website (this link is available above. I just copy pasted it here)

If not, then, yes, you can write it in plain piece of paper and submit it.

Thank you so much for your reply. Yes I did check this but this has syllabus of semester system, I passed when there was part I and II and III. I have the paper numbers for part II & III since they changed the format of the marksheet that very year. However no paper number is mentioned on marksheet for part I. Can I just copy down everything that there is on the makrsheet and on its back and submit?

            Hello Anil,

I went to check on online on syllabus which is showing for year 2010-2011 I am 2003-2006 batch pass out, can I take a copy of this or what I need to do. Please suggest

Anil Gupta 31 May, 18 at 7:32 am

If your subjects are exactly the same as 2010-2011 syllabus, you can make a copy by writing all those subjects with your hand on a piece of plain paper and submit with your application.

Hi, If I want multiple copies how many return envelops I should send with my application by post?

    • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 13 May, 18 at 9:55 am

      Just keep one return envelope.
DU will keep all the requested copies in separate envelopes (their own – see sample image above) and then keep all those envelopes in the ‘return envelope’ that you have sent with your application.

      Does that answer your question?

Is it ok if I get it back at my home address in India and then my parents can courier it to Canada as it is sealed. They can send sealed packet to Canada in a one different envelop?

    • Anil Gupta
Anil Gupta 23 Apr, 18 at 7:14 am

Yes, you can do that. Just do not open the sealed envelopes.
